"water me" she sings
and though I don't understand anything else
I know what she means
because I feel that pain too

"water me" she sings
and I want to cry it out with her
with all my blood and soul I want to shout it
why can't you see I want you?

"water me" she sings
so I will give her all my tears
because it seems that she will understand them
I already know you don't

"water me" she sings
maybe I should sing it along with her
we will share a pain between two broken hearts
even if we've only met once

"water me" she sings
and the words pass over me
dripping into my soul
as if they could fill the emptiness you cause

"water me" she sings
I would beg you to do the same
if pride could allow me to open my mouth
for more than music

::: Summer's Army :::

an ice cream truck chimes its warcry
calling forth the troups
barefoot
running over dirty pavement

sitting on the doorstep with a smile
watching
these tiny soldiers of summer
select their weapons

::: Skin and Lies :::

empty my mind
like glitter vomitted across the soul
leaving me hollow and dry
bones grind beneath
the transparency of skin and lies

dingy paper
your face is my map
the lines of your eyes mark my road
and so shall I walk
straight through your perception

I am the daydream
and you are my dear fantasy
I wish I could put this melody into words
I've got deathlight in my eyes
sickened by my own lack of being

safety comes from strangers
for they do not judge you
with the cruel tongue of past mistakes
that good friends do
they cannot

you've got yourself
which is more than enough for me
darling
you may be hallucination
but you are the sweetest one I know
