oh man, out of sprite

I have recently discovered that no matter how much I like the premise of a community, I just can't join if a- I don't like (one of) the mod(s) or b- it smells like a fangirl breeding ground.

...or c- their rules look suspiciously like they copied the rules off of one of my communities, and only just slightly rewrote it in their own words. (Or even worse, they didn't bother with their own words.)

God, I can be such a snob, sometimes. >.

Hm. Can I ask WHY you don't like one of the Mods? Is it for a good reason...? . Because, pardon me for saying this, it seems like a really shallow reason to look down on a community. After all, a community is more about the people in it than the very few who run it.

Wait. You DID say it was a fangirl breeding ground...so you probably don't like some of the people in it anyway. Of course, the Gakuhai community is made up of an insane amount of fangirls...even Dears has some.

As for the copying of your rules...heh. I agree there. XD A little TOO similar, ne?

I've had to put up with attictude from two of the three in gxh. So. Yeah. Not particularly fond of them. And, quite frankly, I've left other communities before because I didn't like the mod. A large part of what a community is is how it's run by the mod. Do you think gxh would be half the size it was or as much fun if Kia and I weren't there to weed out the useless/off-topic posts and have contests and such? Or to kill arguments before they become wars?

I like... very few people in it. Thus why they are not on my friends list. I've never been a member of dears. Never even wanted to be. (Dears is worse than gxh for fangirls, that's why they have restricted posting. I saw it before they put that into play. Oy.) As for gxh, well... this wouldn't be the first time I said I wanted to drop it because the fandom has gone to hell.

Not the first time it's happened.
