holiday wishlist a.k.a. greed
Thank you to everyone who commented on my last entry. As long as my bank decides not to be a whore for once, and the money transfer is successful, I will be moved in on the 23rd and will post address/pictures as soon as I have interwebs at home after that date.
On to other things.
STEP ONE:
Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.")
The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want. If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
STEP TWO:
Surf around your friends' list (or friends'-friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part: If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
FOR CHRISTMAS, I WANT:
1. David Bowie, Yvonne Sisters, and/or HYDE to release (a) new album(s).
2. A decent job so I can afford to keep living in this country.
3. Mittens. Seriously. The more unique, the better. I’m especially hoping for green mittens. A nice avocado green.
4. Guests. Anyone ever wanted to visit Bath?
5. Ideas of places for me to travel to on mainland Europe for a weekend or so while I’m here. (I’ve been to France, Germany, Austria, and Hungary but wouldn’t be adverse to going again to see something I hadn’t seen before. And anything new is fab!)
6. Gift certificates for either YesAsia or Amazon.com, as that’s where I buy most of my music. (Frankly, I own too much to ask anyone to buy it for me these days.)
7. Chinese food? I dunno, I’m really craving it right lately.
8. A donation to a charity like http://www.concern-universal.org/
9. Translations and romaji of all the speena stuff I never did get around to scanning before I left. Oops. How about nice new Hyde piccies that I can use (with permission!) on Tenshi no Koe, since I haven't updated the poor site in more than a year and it's past due?
10. Anything off my amazon wishlist.
HOW TO CONTACT:
Check my userinfo. Or wait around a bit for me to post my new UK address, once the financial crap is finalized.
Link me to your posts and I'll see what I can do.

Just to let you know your links aren't working. D:
I actually might send you something since I blame you for my speena/Yvonne Sisters obsession. XD
Random: Have you been to Romania? My older sister went and absolutely loved it. She said the countryside was beautiful but oddly reminded her of east Texas. >__>
