Every time I update a fic, I'm reminded of the others I have left unfinished for one reason or another. Okay, let's be honest. The main reason is exhaustion. Despite having what seems like all the time in the world, I'm so often exhausted that I don't really feel like doing much. And that goes mentally and physically. Actually, the mental exhaustion is worse. That said, if I have a fic going you want to see finished? Poke me. Hold me accountable. I have only so much energy, so don't let me be distracted by the new shinies.
My shoulder is terribly sore lately. I think I pulled it sometime last week and then re-pulled it when babysitting my sister's wee ones. M tried to work it out a bit during Tai Chi yesterday, but I kept tightening up when she touched me. (Which is why massages don't work on me. I freak and get all tense.)
Day 8 - In your own space, post self-recs for at least three fanworks that you created.
This is a hard one. Like I enjoy making stuff but I'm not always proud of it after? You know? Ugh. But maybe I can pick some favourites...
1) Icons! I've always had fun making them, though it's been a few years (quite a few) so I'm sort of just getting back into it, but it's fun. I'm beginning to build up my inventory of tools again and trying new things, too. Plus it's easy to see when someone likes your work!
2) Elrohir: Missionary to the Shire One of my earlier comedy pieces, back when I was writing mostly Tolkien fic. It's silly, but I adore it so.
3) Starlight Of course. How could I not be proud of this baby? (Along with my co-author/parent![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
my2browneyes?) For sheer size alone, but also just for how much fun it's been. It's brought me back on bad days, giving things to look forward to. (Even if it's just torturing my Marvel favourites)
