the Gnutmeg camp report MUAH!
Jul. 4th, 2003 06:42 pmSU: Had a tearful farewell with Nani on AIM. Explained to mother that I know how to pack. Arrived at camp at about 2:30. Got settled, played some icebreaker gaames, got my contract.
Sharing a room with my sister for the week. This could be entertaining. Have much program to ddo over the next few days.
MO: So much fun. We played tonnes of wide games. This one game we played, I got totally soaked. I will now point out I was wearing a white shirt at the time. It was great. "I'm a damn girlguide!" hahahaha. Playing a lot of "chicken games" where you take a normal game and substitute a rubber chicken for the ball or whatever. Also playing a bunch of trust games. Tonnes of fun. Having a great time. Miss you all. MUAH!
TU: HAPPY CANADA DAY!! We spent the afternoon on parliment hill looking for lost children. Then we went to the apartment building of one of the site guiders to watch the fireworks. So good. I have 4 blisters on my feet. That'd be from walking around in my shoes but not wwearing socks. So tired. Off to bed.
WE: The rubber chicken turned up frozen in a jar of water this morning. Then he disappeared again. We set up the guard chair today, then had a practice of our missing child procedures. Let's just say I'm never going on Peggy's trail again. The whole thing is mosquitos and poison ivy. We also had a campfire and everyone was given necklaces with beads to show the number of years they've work at camp. It was really nice. Then I drove Moose, Eltendo and Twitchy home (I had to drive the sister thing, then the others asked for a ride since they were on the way) so that was why I was home for the evening. Won't happen again, I assure you.
TH: Today, the chicken re-emerged in a baking pan at breakfast time. Got to love the disappearing mascot game. Everyone else has gone to town to see a movie. I decided to stay up at camp as I felt one of my moods coming on. It's a low. Joy. *sigh* at least I won' break anything, but I feel so dispondant. So I'm sitting here listening to my Hyde and thinking of people I'd rather be with. You know who you are, I'm sure. Anata e.
Yeah, this is another case of your beloved Gnutmeg secluding herself.
Lonliness isn't as harsh if it's self imposed.
And now it is Friday and I am home and showered and soon to be fed. Time to cliiiing!! ^_^
