Sep. 10th, 2003 01:42 pmToday, during solfage while Rachel (our TA) was assigning measures to sing for everyone, my cell phone rang. I was mortified. And also rather shocked for 2 important reasons:
a- I didn't know I had my cell with me.
b- Who the fuck would be calling me at 10:47 on a Wednesday?
Of course, I just quickly turned it off and apologized for the interruption. With reassurances of "Thanks for the musical interlude" and "You can always tell the music students by the ring tone" we went back to singing. I only butchered 1 of the 3 songs I had to do, so it went pretty well. ( I can sing, and I can sight read, but I can't do the two together to save my life )
After class, I put on my headphones (listening to hide!) and got on the bus. By the time I was home, not only was I in a great mood, but I had an urge to play my bass clarinet.
So, I just finished playing my baby. (Ok, so calling a 3.5 foot instrument a 'baby' might be a bit of an oxymoron...) Am in an even better mood, if that's possible. So, yeah, good day.
