gnutmeg: (sleep)
My Gods. A day has gone by without me updating my LJ. Did anyone notice? Did anyone care?

Anyway.

Today started crappily enough with me getting yelled at by my father while I was trying to catch up with my messages from over the night. So I, the obedient child that I am, go shower and dress then head upstairs to find some food.

Not too long after, we're on our way downtown to show grandfather & Mary the sights. We passed the experimental farm and my dad was sort of showing it off. Which I thought was stupid since my grandfather fucking is a farmer from Saskatchewan. Of course, my father never listens to me.

The first attraction we ended up going to was the Canadian mint. Anyone who knows anything about coin production in Canada knows the Ottawa plant only makes the specialty collectors coins, so the tour was short and a little on the boring side. Ok, a lot on the boring side.

After that, we went to the National Art Gallery. Under normal circumstances, I'm in love with the National Art Gallery. However going to see it with my parents, grandparents and little brother is not normal circumstances by any stretch of the imagination. Brother whined the whole time, dad was sarcastic and g&m seemed to be bored stiff. And so we were rushed through and I didn't get half the time I wanted to look at anything. T___T But, at least I did see the two van Gogh paintings in the collection. (<3 <3 <3 @ van Gogh) My mom also bought me a nice vase and a glass flower in the art gallery's bookshop, so that was nice.

Somehow these few things managed to take up our whole day so we met up with my sister (who had been at work and then her beau's house earlier) and went out for supper. My sister and I ordered a dessert to share after our meals, which was this icecream cake which was massive. It must have been a good 5 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 2 inches across. o.o Made with coffee, peanut butter and kahlua icecream and tonnes of cookie crumbs and yes. We didn't manage to finish it.

Next thing on my agenda was to head over to Savron's, which I did. Her, Lina and I all watched movies. And plotted against the boys, as they decided not to show up. ([livejournal.com profile] isamukun? You're in big trouble >:O) 17.5 got lost and decided not to come. Starfish spiderman ditched us for his girlfriend. (Who is not only a bitch who dated my ex, but also a waste of oxygen entirely.)

Yes, so the things I've learned today are: I hate my family (wait, already knew that) and that rules are not so much necessary as they are guidelines and thus don't need to be obeyed.

:D

Yes. I'll reply to all the comments later. Am tired right now.
