gnutmeg: (laughter)
I am far too amused by my sister's playlist. She's so bubblegum, no matter how much she denies it. The best Japanese artists on this machine are Ayumi Hamasaki (like 3 songs) and Smile dk. Not that there's anything wrong with either band, just... no HYDE or Moi dix Mois or... anything harder than the odd punk song that somehow made it into her collecion.

Still, having Ace of Base come up on one's playlist is rather good for a laugh. XD

<EDIT> HEY! She has all my Sailor Moon music I had thought gotten deleted. Will have to steal that once my computer is working again. </EDIT>

My dad's going to take my computer to his friend at work who sold it to him today. Hopefully, I'll have it back by tomorrow or early next week. On my sister's laptop for now but there's no telling when she'll want it back. No AIM on it, and she said I'm not allowed to dl any programs. Browser crashes everytime I try to get AIM express. So I'm on MSN, if anyone wants me. (miphileg @ hotmail) And knowing my luck, I'll probably be able to file share now when I don't have any of my stuff.

Ugh. >.o Almost forgot, but my submission for the Hyde fanbook is on that computer. I was touching it up and adding text. If I have to rescan, recrop and re-edit that, I think I'm going to scream.

Just got forwarded this email from the ex-bf. It's one of those long survey things. Figured I'd post it in case anyone was bored and wanted to do it for me, or if they wanted to send it to their friends or something. ...yeah, more or less I'm spamming as there's not a lot I can do from this computer. Might try to make some icons in a while, we'll see.

67 questions!! :O )

This is a question directed more towards the North Americans on my list as I have no idea where else this show plays, but has anyone else seen the show known as "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge" or MXC for short? Apparantly the footage for it comes from a Japanese show called "Takeshi's Castle" But anyway, the whole show is (purposely and obviously) badly dubbed with effects and stuff added to make it look like a typical north american low budget gladiator style show.

It's really really odd... the clips are of people doing these crazy sports events and stuff like tug of war with tractors or mazes where you fall in mud or... just different funny things like that.

I'm really curious what the actual show the clips from is like and is about.

"L-Arc-en-Ciel as you have never heard them before!

Tetsu along with his melodic bass rhythms & spectacular lead singer plus the rest of the beloved J-pop band are all back to offer you another pleasing musical delight! Packed with 10 all-new songs including their smashs "Ready Steady Go" & "Hitomi no Jyunin" this highly anticipated release promises to make music lovers all over the globe "SMILE"!"

...YesAsia's description of SMILE. When did Laruku become Jpop and why did nobody inform me??

*shakes head* I still say the whole pop/rock division as far as the Japanese music industry is concerned is pretty shakey at best. I usually just end up calling everything Jrock unless it's something insanely bubblegum like Smile dk or Aya Matsuura. (Does that mean I'm going to music Hell?) Really... music gets over classified. Lots all jsut call it what it really is, people! Glorified electronic singspiel!! XP
