gnutmeg: (I pray the Lord my soul to take)
Oh. Gods.

I can hear my uncle snoring through my closed door and over my music. I just have to remember that he is leaving soon and all is well.

On a completely unrelated note, I randomly picked a book from my shelf and started reading it today. It's called Catherine, Called Birdy by Karen Cushman and though it is meant for more a teen audience, I'm loving reading it again. I haven't touched it in years, but it's hilarious. It's written to look like the diary of a minor lady-to-be and her trials with trying to become a lady and dealing with being betrothed and such. I'm probably going to be done reading it in another hour, but hey, 200 page book in 3 hours while chatting at the same time? Not bad at all.
gnutmeg: (attitude)
Uncle and cousin over so am off and on today. We'll definitely be going out to supper - 12 of us in total. Wonder where we'll go this time? Hopefully the chinese place again.

Oh, [livejournal.com profile] isamukun? Did Lina call you about dinner on Tuesday? Please come~ I don't get to see anybody, anymore.
gnutmeg: (naughty)
Chocolate martinis = gross but there are plenty of sunburns to go 'round.

Going out for supper in like 15 minutes. And I am dressed entirely in pink today~! Pink skirt (sarong), pink tank top, and pink sunglasses. Oh, and pink shoulders. Yes, yes, the sunburn monster got me, too.

My cousin and I were making fun of this guy who was in front of the Beer Store because he started singing along with the radio but was obviously tone deaf. Then he took off his shirt :O to reveal a second underneath. My uncle just shook his head at us, as we were really sarcastic and vicious.

Thinking about subjecting said cousin to Moon Child tonight. I think she'd like it. Aren't I horrible? I talk so badly about the film and laugh at it quite a bit, yet at the same time I find myself completely addicted to watching it. It has it's good moments and its bad and I do like it, overall. But it's certainly no award winner.

I can honestly say, this has been the best relative visit all year. Part of it may be the fact that they're keeping me fairly drunk, though.
