gnutmeg: (butterfly)

...ok, I lied. There isn't really substance to this post, but it does have a cute picture of Hyde looking all sleepy. nutmeg wins at the internet! Yes!

Feeling a bit better, now. Tummy is still upset, don't know why. I've been craving sugar a lot today, but of course we don't have a damned sweet thing in the house as my parents are on atkins. XP I need to go buy myself something sugar-based in case I get more cravings. (I actually often do have sugar cravings. Is this bad?) I know I get them because of my depression. (There's a chemical in sugar that is deficient when you're chemically depressed. *nods*) Though I will admit, I did spend a part of today wondering if maybe I might be diabetic. My grandmother is... I could be, too.

And then I was listening to a bunch of Our Lady Peace. It's funny how they're such a feel good band for me. Their lyrics are so depressing... still, I know all the words on two of their older albums (two of the three I own, Clumsy and Happiness is Not a Fish) and yeah, singing along makes me happy. ^_~

I also noticed something else weird today. Pretty much all my favourite Laruku songs are the ones written by Hyde (lyrics and music) How odd is that? I never even realized it until I was looking through some lyrics today. Damned man is trying to own my soul. You can't have my soul, Hyde! Only half. Bowie gets the other half. XP

Ok... I'm being a lunatic, so I think I'll shut up now. Oh! Wait! I made myself a couple new icons, too. The last... 8 or so, if anyone wants to go look. I like the "imagine a night" one. The text for that is a title from an absolutely gorgeous kids' book I read while I was at camp.

Right. Ta.

Oh... another P.S. before I post this: I'm working on a set of Bonnie Pink icons. That woman is so pretty.

I've just returned from the dump. It was absolutely nasty. And all I was dropping off was yard waste and a couple of wooden skids (I think that's what they're called. They're like... for putting things on and then you get fork lifts to lift them?) The worst part is how the smell is both sweet and rank at the same time. Gross.

On the way there, while filling up the van, I proved that I am the clumsiest creature on the face of the earth by tripping. The result of the injury? Skinned/stubbed my toe (but only one o.O;;) took a layer of skin off my knee, and the skid left about a three inch slice across my arm. That one looks a lot worse than it is. It hardly bled at all, and I didn't even notice it at first. It's really stinging now, though. I really hope it doesn't scar. >.o

Even if it is the clutziest thing in the universe, I have to compliment my body on one thing. It knows what it needs. For instance, I just ran upstairs to make myself a bowl of popcorn for supper (yeah, usual fair) but then I got this twinge that I've come to recognize from my body as being the cry for protein. (Meaning I may faint if I don't give myself some.) So instead of having my white meal (one of my standards: a bowl of popcorn and a glass of milk) I had that and a chicken hotdog. Yay, no fainting for me today! :D

something fun... if by 'fun' you mean gross )

Yes, I know, I'm insane. Love you, too.
