... how absofuckinglutely disgusting. How much do you have to hate an artist to upload their entire discography in one sitting? Seriously.

Normally this is the sort of thing I'd bitch about in my private journal but I think more people need to hear about this sort of thing and why I hate it.


How can anyone claim to love an artist and then go and rape their career like that? I mean, I could understand if it was an artist whose albums weren't available for sale easily or isn't well known and rather needs the attention, but Hyde is insanely well known and easy to find. All of his albums even have both a Japanese release and (cheaper) overseas versions which make them easy to get. Yet people still have the absolute disrespect to upload his entire discography.

If you want to upload a few songs to grab people's attention, I mean, hey that's a great idea. Some of the best marketing an artist is ever going to get. And uploading PVs? Another thing I'm all for. Videos off of Japanese TV are not something you can get easily in North America.

Uploading 3 full albums? *shakes head* Like walking up to Hyde and spitting on his shoe.



I'm sorry, Hyde, but some of your newer fans really kind of suck. :(

Say I had this really big brainbug of starting a North American-based online fan magazine for Japanese music. Would people be interested in reading that?

More important, would people be interested in contributing news and stories for it? Because if I can get some sort a "staff" going on a project like that, I'd be more than happy to buy a domain and run it.


I don't want to go into too many details quite yet. Don't want people to steal my ideas and such. :x But, if people ARE interested in something like that, let me know. I've got the organizational skills, but I need the resources. (Ruby? If I decide to do this, I'm so dragging you into it, even if you're kicking and screaming.)
