Alrighty. About the
show last night. Punk show, so that was cool. There were 3 bands playing: Belvedere, Chixdiggit, and SNFU.
Of the three, I enjoyed Chixdiggit the most. They had a really great stage presence and their sound was the most unique. I'm sorry, but you know it's
so easy to sound canned for punk bands and Belvedere really felt too copy and paste to me. SNFU was really good, really hardcore punk... I enjoyed them a lot as well. But their singer was just... well, nuts. And he so had the "prairie accent". I can't describe it, but anyone who's ever lived in western canada can probably recognize it. You know, that accent that many of the farmers and small-town folks have out there? Yeah. He also wore a fur hat and was like right in with the audience while he sang. Oh, and he nearly killed his bassist with the way he was swinging the mic around. o.o;;
Over all, the show was pretty cool. We only sold a dozen or so CDs, but I didn't really expect more than that for a punk show.
Oh, and Kia'd be proud of me. I totally picked out an asian hottie in the crowd. Except... I think he was gay. >.> He did talk to me about possibly buying a CD... but then he spent his money an alcohol instead. *shakes head*
Tonight, I'm working at the
show of an eclectic rocker. (ie someone who dabbles in everything.) Naturally I'm going to love it. I mean, hello? I love eclectic artists.
