and some may call it madness !!
Jul. 23rd, 2005 08:56 pmIt's time for another highlights real from nutmeg's week. During this week of summer camp, in no particular order...
My favourite quote for the week, of course, is Bounce's "I like the sparks... when all the lights are low. WAIT!" XD Oh, and let's not forget when she said "that's the colour that bunnies make!" (in reference to electric/road sign yellow fun foam)
- Phantom (a rather large, white canoe) was hoisted into the large white pine near the camp parking lot using rope and remained there for 3 days. I suspect Bounce, Dolphin, Splash and Coco were responsible, but have only gotten a confession from Bounce.
- Tiffany (a rather frightening hairdresser's mannequine head) made an appearance in Tico's bed, and later in the refridgerator of Woods site.
- I (once again) was forced to endure the pain of watchin 6-8 year olds "cook" hotdogs. No, children, the hotdog isn't going to cook if you hold it over your head. Put it IN the fire.
- We played 'sardines' with my sister and I as it. We hid so well that none of the kids found us.
- I got a letter fromzeli17! Yay! <3 That made me happy.
- Flicker and I formed the "wet boobies" club for anyone who was outside when it started pouring and got their shirt soaked to their chest.
- Was (quite randomly) kissed on both cheeks by Dragon after agreeing to take Girl Guide Cookies to Tamarack site.
- Played Q.M. for an afternoon. Didn't like it.
- Had a container-finishing party in the Q.M. basement with Coco, Bounce and Flicker. Mmn milk.
- Sang a room full of 6-8 year olds to sleep.
- Was in so much physical pain I couldn't even eat but still decided it was a good idea to lead campfire anyway.
- Attempted to stop a rugby tackle which ended up with me accidentally grabbing Doppler in non-camp-appropriate places before she tumbled headfirst onto the hallway floor.
