gnutmeg: (bad day)
Here's a good way to start the morning. </sarcasm> Guess I won't be taking the highway to work, then. It's just really lucky that the accident happened when it did, because the 417 at Parkdale is bumper-to-bumper traffic usually from about 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

...And apparantly my alternate route is way backed up, too. Suddenly my 25 minute drive is going to be a lot longer...
gnutmeg: (walk)
So. I was an hour late for work because of the whole highway closure this morning. Lovely, hmmn? Good thing my manager wasn't all that worried about it. I also got a tonne done, including finishing up the understock of our DVD section do we can actually find our DVDs now. It's very nice. I hate how very very dirty my hands get from moving stock, though. It's just gross. I mean, I'm pretty obsessed with keeping my hands clean to begin with and then they turn pretty much black from all the dirt... yeah. Ew.

I also ended up getting off work early since the girl who takes over for my shift was early. That was kind of nice. And then I bought some stuff. The new Our Lady Peace for my brother, a CD of Du Fay's chansons (don't feel bad if you have no idea who that is, just know it predates Mozart), a cool CD of interviews from Bowie's band in the 70s (the Spiders from Mars) and~ Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves on DVD. That's one of my favourite movies, so I was very happy.

P.S. The mark-up on DVDs is ridiculous! Let's just say more than 50%...

Should finish cleaning and talk to boy before leaving for school tomorrow... since we're going to Guelph and all tomorrow night. :D Sister is going back to school and then she'll be far far away. Forever. Or at least until Thanksgiving. Plus Kia will be coming back with us~~

Oh! We went to Red Lobster tonight and I had 'all-you-can-eat' garlic shrimp. They were very yummy. I'm not going to admit how many I ate. Let's just say if I even see garlic shrimp within the next week, I might explode. :x

I need to shut up because I'm being far too random.

Now to see if I can't track down that boy of mine...

<EDIT> Well, I just found my pencil crayons. My rag doll is sitting on top of the box. *facepalm* </EDIT>
