Jul. 29th, 2006 05:04 pmWell, I'm feeling a tonne better than I did when I got home last night, now. Catching up on sleep and spending a little time with my favourite guy definitely helped in a big way. I've spent most of today either sleeping or watching David Bowie DVDs... needless to say I was in my happy place.
It was an interesting week at camp... silly me to talk about my wasp bite in my LJ here, it lead to
andylee_baboo attacking me with a cotton swab and hydrogen peroxide basically as soon as I got to camp. Otherwise, this week's been generally busy and insane. We even had a number of hospital runs - though I won't say more than that as it's really not proper.
We did end up kidnapping Dragon this week. The plan went a little off, since we were going to do it earlier but Thumper left camp and therefore was not around to rescue Dragon, so we had to wait... but we did manage to seran wrap & duct tape her to the all-terrain wheel chair, then cart her down into Peggy's trail, then cover her in large branches... which she was then taped to, as well. I think the kids had fun sneaking around with Thumper to find her and "rescue" her.
I still haven't recieved any letters from anyone yet... unless you count from other staff at camp. It's kinda sad, but the letters from other staff have been fun. This week was dinosaur week, so I also sent a few pictures (Drawn by me, of course!) of dinosaurs to some of the younger sites. I think the girls liked it. (I hope!)
Only two weeks of camp left, which makes me both sad and relieved at the same time. It is a super high stress job, but I do love it so much. I honestly think I could do something like this full time, if it were possible.
