just a thought

This morning, I finally managed to pull a splinter out of my hand that had been bothering me for days. As I looked at the tiny speck that had caused me so much pain, I couldn't help but marvel at it.

As I thought about it, I realized how reflective it was of life, how the tiniest speck pressed into just the right place can cause tremendous amounts of pain. ...or any emotion, really, but I think we all understand pain the easiest.
