gnutmeg: (grandeur)
Is it bad that I totally ship a pairing that I'm not even remotely interested in the canon for? (I'm all like eh... effort to watch TV show... forget it.) Haha.

It's been a day of retrospection, yet I find myself incapable of putting into words the things I've thought and done about it.

Like shedding a skin. Or maybe a life. That was what I am. Now here's who I am.
gnutmeg: (light)
do I love you or what you are?
I hate this desire I no longer speak
of what use is it anyway?
would you believe if I told you?
would you believe I can't show you?

can I love you and not what you are?
it scares me to think that I should do so
you are so beautiful you see
would you believe I could want you?
would you believe my desire's true?

will I love you and what you are?
how can I refuse when both are lovely
and my dreams whisper you name
would you believe I should fear this?
would you believe in my silence?

do I love you or what you are?
perhaps you will never know, nor shall I
greater care will silence bring
would you believe my sacrifice?
would you believe love's dearest cost?
gnutmeg: (tanatos)
Mum called since, you know, Easter. She doesn't seem to get why I'm so mad about the camp thing. Ah well.

I've song lyrics on the brain right now. The melody is someone else's, but the words are mine.
gnutmeg: (dark)
there's something in my heart
that cycles your name
and I want, want it out
when I go I don't know
if I will say "I'm in love"

cut, for length )

[written to fit to the melody of speena's "Tanatos"]
gnutmeg: (strangers)
Have you ever noticed that there are certain songs that you just keep coming back to? Like, these songs always fit because they're just a part of who you are. The ones that follow you around for years. I can think of five in particular that are this way for me.

1) David Bowie's "Conversation Piece" [lyrics]

2) Bonnie Pink's "Mint" [lyrics]

3) speena's "Calm Soul" [lyrics]

4) Hyde's "Shallow Sleep" [lyrics]

5) David Bowie's "Strangers When We Meet" [lyrics]

I should hope the lyrics are pretty self-explanitory.
