of a family were murdered
in their sleep by their guests
and where two dozen men
were beheaded and pushed into the sea
for following orders
and I've heard tales
of the arrogance that allowed
so many to fall
I've been to many places
where hundreds had the honour
of dying for the sake
of justice
of peace

of freedom
of royalty
but the meaning of it all
the reason it had to happen
escapes me

My joints are exceptionally sore today, and it's not even that cold. Not just my fingers, either. My toes. How the hell can one's toe joints hurt? D:
Packing is happening, though slowly. I should probably speed it up a bit since someone is coming by the place monday afternoon for a viewing and it rather needs to be presentable for them. It's not my flat anymore. :( That's sad.
