why I like friday the 13th...

I have had a rather incredible day. You wouldn't think it was possible, considering I had both a doctor's appointment and work, but I did.

First off? The doctor I'm seeing for my travel shots is so awesome. I kind of want to see if he's taking regular patients at all, since I need one and he's good.

Let's see... work? We got new uniforms yesterday. They've been "in the works" for two years. Nice black teeshirts. V. comfy and actually the right size unlike our old ones. Kind of annoyed at the name tags, but you deal. When I got in to work our computers were down and stayed down for about half hour, so I didn't have to do too much, and once they were back up our broken back up tape drive was working again, too. I also got to deal with two of my favourite customers today. Quite lovely. I also only had a 4 hour shift today (I got it esp. since I was doing a favour and working on the day I was told I'd have off) leaving me with some time after work, so I wandered off to China town for a bit and visited the Chinese bakery and bubble tea shops I like best.

I got home and mum told me about the (surprise!) leftover Chinese food from last night. From my favourite restaurant, too! So I got to have that for supper. Didn't get my favourite dish, but did get my second favourite and a bunch of other really good ones.


It's gonna be a nice, quiet night (I think I'ma watch some dinosaur documentaries) and I get to miss a family lunch tomorrow in order to see my Toronto friends (thank you!) and yeah. Life is good today.


Oh, I should probably also mention I went clothes shopping with mum and my cousin yesterday and got a few really awesome pieces that will be great "signature" pieces in my sense of style. So pleased.
