Un:
My mother was always beautiful, with evening hair and the countenance of the setting sun. Her beauty alone was reason for any man to marry her but she was also wise and loving. I know that is what my father loved best about her. Atar was always a proud man - some might even say arrogant - though no one could blame him for being proud of her. As a child, I'd overheard many times people questioning how he'd ever managed to win her love. So I will tell you that story, exactly the way I was told it.
Deux:
"It's raining."
Maedhros started slightly then nodded, for it was raining, though that was not at all what he had expected to hear. Then again, Maglor had always a special skill for catching him off guard. "It is. But that I can see for myself. Say to me those things which I cannot simply pick from your brain as you seem to wish me to."
These words caused Maglor to turn his head away, and he shut his eyes as though he had turned them inward to study his very thoughts. "You would never have agreed to this if Finde was still alive." He knew they would be harsh words, and he took his time in saying them but even his musical voice couldn't soften them as much as he would like.
"I might have, Kana." The truth was he didn't know what he would have done if their cousin Fingon was alive and still king. But he wasn't, so it didn't matter.
"I know you better than that. I can't believe you let them pressure you into this, Maitimo. This is wrong."
Trois:
Hyde stared at his friend incredulously. "I'm -married-, Gackt."
"I know." Gackt nodded.
"That means it's cheating. I can't do that to Megumi."
"How is it cheating? I'm not a woman."
