random music rambling

I mentioned this a few days ago which, really? Is still amazingly awesome. But what I think is the cutest/funniest part about it is how excited all my coworkers are/have been to tell me about it and see my reaction. It's fairly well known at work that I am a huge fan of both artists, and everyone has been like "did you hear? you must have heard!" I think they're more excited for me than I am about it! (Which is sad, since I am very excited about this. I've been waiting on a new Regina Spektor since she did that song for Caspian, and the fact that there's Jeff Lynne involved just makes me know I'm going to love it.)


In other music-related tidbits: the new Decemberists album is incredible. Like. Insane incredible. I've been a fan of one of their earlier albums, the Crane Wife, for a while, but this one is just amazing. It seems to play into a lot of my niche-y music likes, such as including use of harpsichord and early music styles. And it really works amazingly as an album, it's not just a collection of songs as you so often get these days.

So I totally enjoyed the way the Envoy server went down at work today for like half the day until Hamza came in and fixed it. Yeah, that was real awesome. /sarcasm


There have been a rather large number of people I don't know visiting my journal the past couple days. What's up with that?



...also? Go-go boots should not be so distracting.
