nutmeg is in a bit of a dilemma. An icon thief was pointed out to her, but their journal is set so only friends can comment and there is no email. So how, exactly, is nutmeg supposed to ask her to stop using her icon? I mean. She's even using an icon that has my name on it at 100% opacity. It's pretty blatant and stupid of her to be using that, IMHO. (She's using this one, which I've been using for what? Almost a year. Everyone who would see it would know it was mine. >.<) Part of me is tempted to comment on one of her friends' journals and ask them to point it out to her, but that feels rude to me. Mind, not as rude as taking my bloody icon in the first place, but still. :\
Busy day today. Lili's bridal shower and stuff.

You might say that (& this is true for me actually) often people will see the icon & mistake it for you being the person posting. I have 2 friends who have almost identical icons & often think it's the other person commenting until I read it closely.
You can approach it on that tact - that people will often mistake her for someone else, especially if it has your name on it.

Thanks for the advice.

After Kami-san over on GJ stole everyone and their momma's icons we all started putting our names on them just for this reason! ><
What kind of idiot do you have to be to steal a TAGGED icon?

Or, if you'd like, you can use any of the icons at my icon sharing journal:
Don't be afraid, hun. Unlike some people, I just ask those who have (most often unknowingly) taken my personal icons to stop using them. I think anyone who attacks someone for a mistake like that is silly and immature.
But, so you know in future, (since I'd really hate to see you attacked for such a thing) if an icon has a name on it then you shouldn't take it. Most often, it means that the person using it doesn't want anyone else using it.
