Aww. I was just watching What Not to Wear (I love that they show it at lunch time now, so that I can watch my favourite show while I eat, but anyway...) and on this episode, the girl's boyfriend came on at the end to propose to her. ;~; It was so so sweet. Admittedly, I'd have personally killed the guy for proposing on TV, but it was good for her. He knew her well enough to know she'd like that.

Kind of makes me think about silly things. Like a person's ideal proposal. For the girls, how would you want to be proposed to? (or guys, even, what you'd want to do for your girl?)

For me, I'd want to be curled up in bed with him, his arms around me. And he'd ask me then. No ring or anything, I'm not a big believer in tradition, anyway. I'd just want it to be quiet and private and between the only two people it should really matter to, anyway.

Yeah. Umn. I've also been watching a lot of TLC's Perfect Proposal lately, too. No one worry. I'm not, like, planning to run off and get married right this second. I think.

<EDIT> And now my mom's new nickname for me is "IT girl" since I'm capable of setting up a computer in under 5 minutes. Oh. There's a skill. :P </EDIT>

Rings are shiney and I like shiney things therefore I want a ring. But not gold, because gold looks awful on me. So a shiney silver ring ^.^ And hah, my perfect proposal would be basically the same as yours.

I agree with the "no gold" thing. It doesn't really suit my colouring or the colours I prefer to wear. (Though I do wear gold hopes for earrings, mostly because of sensitivty issues. :() Frankly, I couldn't care less about a ring. It could be made out of string as long as it's coming from a heart that's true. Or just not exist. Whatever. Engagement rings seem such a waste to me, anyway, as you're only really supposed to wear it until you get married.

Wedding rings, on the other hand, are a different story.

I dunno, I like the idea of a ring. But I think that both people should wear one. I never have understood why an engagement ring is only ever worn by the woman, that just seems rather odd to me.
