can my wrist watch be any louder?

I was checking my mom's water for iced tea today, to see if it was boiled, and ended up burning my arm pretty badly, actually. It's ok now, mostly. Still hurts a little.

And the longer I have this short hair of mine, the more I'm absolutely loving it. I'll take pictures of it for you guys one of these days, once I'm feeling like smiling again. (Since there's a few of you who always complain at me that I don't smile enough in pictures.)

Ouch, hot water burns sting so bad. I hope it didn't burn enough to scar

It's currently two inches of blotchy redness on my arm, so I don't think it'll scar.

:o oof... was it a scald or a burn? Because scalds hurt like hell. >-

It qualifies under the first aid definition of a burn. The hot water did, in fact, splash on my arm. It was painful, but not too severe. I think.

:o We here call water splasing on skin a scald... Wonder if it's just an area difference? It shouldn't leave a scar, but it might blister after a while or turn shiney.

I burned my finger a few days ago from steam. @_@ I have to say, i hate burns most of all. :( Do you have any calomine or aloe to put on it?

[identity profile] lirimaer.livejournal.com 2006-05-10 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
I put some aloe on once I got it to stop actually burning. Realistically, aloe doesn't do anything for burns, other than helping to heal the skin after the burn itself has stopped.
