I've decided that the reason I've been homesick lately is that I've been giving myself too much time to sit and fret about it. That said, I've many things for myself to do and should, I think, start focusing more on those.

I'm also pondering buying myself an instrument while I'm here, since I didn't bring any of mine with me. Just something small - a recorder, perhaps, or a ukelele (shut up) - to amuse myself. Then again, I have a sketch book and notebook that needs filling with drawings/stories.


Also, I need to go grocery shopping tomorrow. All I have, atm, is pasta and oranges. Mmmn... lol!

Random story: when I was 3, I had this ukelele that I took everywhere with me. Seriously everywhere. It was one of my most favourite things in the world. Eventually siblings came along and broke it. >:o (Other favourite things at age 3? My umbrella, my My Little Pony dress, and my smurf that was the size of me!)

I think it's not too different from playing guitar. And I know a nearby place where they're only like $20. So I guess we'll see!
