Ended up seeing star trek on wednesday after work. You could definitely see my trekky upbringing come out afterwards though, lol! Why yes, I -was- able to nitpick points. Really enjoyed it anyway. Wondering if they'll do a TV show for it or just a series of movies? I would actually consider watching it if it was TV, which is huge coming from me since I stopped watching treks at TNG and stopped watching TV years ago.

Still annoyed at the Wolverine movie. It's only "good" if you completely forget that it's related to X-Men in any way... which completely defeats the purpose of it existing.

My internet decided it didn't want to stay connected last night, which was a bitch since I'd actually had plans. *shakes fist at it* Hopefully it'll behave tonight once I'm home.

OH! And is anyone interested in a free movie? YesAsia sent me a "free gift" in the form of the movie Lump of Sugar which I will never, ever watch. Is Korean with English subtitles and region 3. Again, free to anyone who is interested.

Now, I need to run before I'm late for work. Ja!

I've been a big Bowie fan for years and I have to say I was pleased with the Vamps cover. I was a little concerned at first, since I've heard some horrible Bowie covers in my life, but this one was great. :D

I've only heard the clip so far (I've ordered my single to show up with my CD) but I really liked that. I will give the full version a listen, now! Thank you! <3

I'm anxious to hear your review ^-^ I thought Bowie was singing in the chorus the first time I heard it.. It sounds just different enough to have Hyde's signature but I think he totally gives props to Bowie

Good thing for us that it was going to take too long to get permission to do a Michael Jackson song - Hyde said in an interview that he wanted to do a cover of a MJ tune... Bowie is so much better

Oh, I'm so pleased with this cover. Hyde's really made it his own while still keeping true to Bowie's ideal.

I thought the Trek movie was pretty good. One thing I had an issue with...well, I felt was how they portrayed young Spock. He was a bit too, erm, emotional I guess. But I did like all the silly little inside jokes. ;)

Yes, I agree that Spock was too emotional. It made me sad. :( But I'm betting they'll do more movies, at least, if not a series since it did so well.
