A meme, taken from [livejournal.com profile] canadabear, though I have seen it on a few other people's LJs, too. Go to, people. Cure my boredom :P

Pick an interest from my interest list that you either 1)don't know anything about or 2) can't understand why I would dig it. Then I'll tell you all about it.

Klaha is one of my favourite Japanese singers.

You can download his music here (http://www.moonlight-rhapsody.net/klaha/), if you want a taste.

Actual abilities to change the world around you with force of will. Like 'magic' but spelled with an extra 'k' to differentiate between it and 'show' magic. It's mostly done within wiccan circles.

MESPT is an acronym for "Middle Earth Sock Puppet Theatre". It's a Tolkien-based roleplaying game here on LJ and it's a lot of fun.

A composer of the romantic era. He composed the planets suite. (A suite being a collection of dances.) My favourite one of these is his "Jupiter". I might upload it on one my mp3 mondays sometime. It's gorgeous.

I thought I recognized the name. It just didn't have the capital H, so I never thought it was a person.

Only the most incredible composer ever. He composed 40 symphonies. Not only that, he wrote operas and sonatas and concertos and liked the clarinet. He was a child prodigy, wrote his first song at 9 and died at the age of 37.

p.s. He's WAY better than that Johnzart guy ^_~

um... I couldn't stick to one, can I go for three? <:P roentgen, torturing sweet things, uberjello ...^___^;

'Course you can. ^^

Roentgen = the name of the man who discovered X-rays. It's also the name of Hyde's first album, which is why I have it.

toturing sweet things = I have a tendancy to say "squish it!" every time I see something that's really really cute, and my friend asked me if I enjoyed torturing sweet things. I said yes and added it to my LJ interests

uberjello = an incident from a roleplaying game I'm in. Long story short, jello managed to take over half the planet before they finally found something that could stop it. This jello had the property of growing whenever you added water to it, so it made everything rather, well, sticky to use a bad pun. ^^;

hmm.. who or what is asrai?

on 2004-03-15 07:18 pm (UTC)
Posted by [identity profile] lirimaer.livejournal.com
An asrai is a type of Irish water fairy. Supposedly, whenever they were caught by fishermen they would sit on the bottom of the boat making pathetic sounds until they finally melted away into a puddle of water.

And of course you can. ^^; I'll add you back, too.
