gnutmeg: (dear to me)
Today is the birthday of someone very dear to my heart. It is also verse thursday. I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone.

If I were to make a fantasy-base roleplay, would anyone be interested in playing?

I have a few rough ideas for what it'd be on, but I want to know if I'd have players before I go ahead and make it.

I do know that there'd be certain rules pertaining to certain species, and only specific species that you could play. (demons, elfs, etc) I also know that these sort of games tend not to do well unless you have serious committed players.

I'll think more about it/give more details once I'm sobre enough to think straight again.

Yes, [livejournal.com profile] demonesque, I am aware you are making one... but this is really a rather different concept altogether. Not so much J Rock...

Well.

Now that I'm sobre, I'm working on this whole game idea of mine from last night. Good thing I was writing it down as I went, otherwise I would have remembered nothing. Astondingly, my writing is so much neater when I'm drunk. But that is besides the point. The point is I have some really good ideas written down here.

The problem is, it could take weeks of typing/paper work to get this set up. Still, the better the background history, the better a game you can build.

I'm trying to decide if I want to do it with a 'modernish' time period or a 'medievalish' time period, though. Both have distinct benefits... I may do the best of both worlds and do a 'post-apocalyptic' style thing... but those create far too much angst IMHO.

I dunno... anyone who wants to can give input, since hey, if I do stuff you like, then maybe you'll play, right?
