gnutmeg: (obvious sarcasm)
Dear random commenter who has now been banned from commenting on my journal, as your comment was quite out of place. I am now going to make an example of you. But feel glad, as I have left out your name so no one else will go bitch at you.

"I'm lost as to when you had the right to be talking crap on a DECENT community, when you can't even realize your own hypocrisy. I may not be overly active in the hydeist community, but I know for a FACT that all mods work hard at what they do, and are dedicated fans to Hyde and ALL his projects.

You run a Gakuhai community, when you're not even a GACKT fan. Maybe I'm incorrect, but I definitely see something wrong in that. If you're such a great Hyde fan, then maybe you yourself should've started the Hyde community yourself and done it the way you liked it, instead of letting some supposed "idiot mods" run it?

I'm a little disappointed with BOTH fandoms, to tell you the truth. Maybe we should all stop being such elitists and just be FANS."

First of all, let me say that [livejournal.com profile] _hydeist is far from a decent community. More than half the posts are "quick! download me!" crap. Although I have nothing wrong with sampling downloads or downloads of extremely rare files, I think there's something horribly wrong to take everything from an artist's career and give it all away. Especially when you know the people taking it are now not going to buy the albums. What's wrong with that? Well, unlike some fans, I'd actually like Hyde to produce albums in North America or possibly even open up Hydeist to international fans. The complete and total lack of support (or even respect) for the artist by downloading all his works instead of buying what one can shows that they don't really care. Myself? I have both of Hyde's albums, most of his singles, 4 Laruku albums, his Rock Rock Rock photo album and his 2004 calendar. Not to mention the fact that I've bought dozens of his works for other people as well. If you truly love an artist, you support them. And, quite frankly, they won't open up to North American fans if they don't see a market for it. As for whether the mods work hard. Well. Let's just say I run more communities and websites than the three of them combined. I also am a full-time college student, volunteer and am looking for a job. Yet I still manage to do as good, if not better in most cases, a job as them. And, yes, I am allowed to be critical of other people's moderating skills, especially when I've been doing it longer than some of them have had a livejournal.

Next, what the hell does liking Gackt have to do with liking gakuhai? Gakuhai is based on the idea of Hyde and Gackt as a yaoi pairing. It has nothing to do with whether or not I enjoy listening to Gackt's music. And you want to know why I didn't start a Hyde community? See above paragraph. I had enough on my plate. Besides, there was no need for one. All Hyde news was being reported either in [livejournal.com profile] gacktxhyde or [livejournal.com profile] larcenciel. I greatly dislike the idea of becoming redundant. Creating a Hyde community would have basically been me copying myself. Sounds kind of stupid, doesn't it?

Umn? Sweetheart, did you even read my post before you commented on it? I think that's exactly what I said. That I'm disgusted with both fandoms. Thanks for repeating me. Oh, and by the way, I'm not being elitist. I'm trying to find a place where I can be a FAN OF HYDE'S MUSIC and NOT HIS LOOKS. Gee. Rocket science, there.

Also, tell your friends to fight their own fucking battles. How can you be a good moderator when you can't even stand up to the fact someone doesn't like your community? I have anti-communities to some of my comms. See me care? Not really.

sincerely,

Is it wrong of me to be so madly in love with a song simply because it has kick-ass clarinet AND bass-clarinet parts? Oh, and english horn. (It's related to an oboe, but plays lower. Think like an alto oboe.) Wow. If I wasn't in love with the band's sound before, this song just totally grabbed me by the ears and said "listen up!"

ベイル (Beiru) by speena has been stuck in my head all day. The fact that I've listened to it 8 times today probably has only a little to do with that. >.>

I've basically got the one line of Kanako's "sayonara, my sweetheart~" and the bass clarinet line stuck in my head, currently. It's both amusing and annoying. Yes, it even earned it's own icon! Speaking of which, 8 new ones.

Scroll to the bottom. I want to be a walking speena ad when I grow up! Hehe... please note that the icon that says "obvious sarcasm" is, indeed, sarcastic.

Watch beiru come on again as I'm updating. I'd laugh. And a random thought. Might "beiru" be more properly romanized as "veil"? I can't read enough of the rest of the song to see whether that would make sense as a title or not. :\

Gah. Why does our phone keep ringing? It's the long-distance ring, and we had a call just now and about an hour ago. I am so confused. Who's calling at this time of night?
gnutmeg: (ooh...)
Tali ([livejournal.com profile] talillama) is cool because:

  • she's gone out of her way to find speena PVs for me (I cannot even define the love for this)

  • she's incredibly kind and giving (as shown above)

  • she's wiccan (I'm sorry, I think it's cool when I find someone else like me)

  • she understands my views of being a fan-without-shrieking even if she doesn't always practice them ;)

  • I can actually have chats about musical style and content with her

  • we have a lot in common

  • she lives in a place where I want to go, someday (that always makes people seem 10 times cooler, doesn't it?)

  • she's a good writer and is able to tell a fairly good story, even with questionable subject matter

nutmeg's had an entertaining and busy day today. Because I am lazy, you will now get the break down in point form:
    • changed the sheets on my bed

    • attempted to chat with nyde on AIM, but she kept getting booted, so I don't know if any of my side got through to her

    • completely took apart an old toy box (made a game of it; 'how many different types of screws can you find?' there were 5 types)

    • took apart a broken stool

    • helped mom put up all the christmas decorations around the house

    • made 12 desktop icon sets for TnK (113 desktop icons >.>)

    • got to go out for supper at Outback but only ate half my dinner (I used to be hungry still after eating a whole meal from there, my appetite is seriously gone ._.)

    • re-learned (as I had forgotten) that [livejournal.com profile] _arodnap_'s family is moving to Europe this summer. $ka, you can't leave me~ T_T

    • went to Chapters and convinced dad to get me books one and two of a manga called "Doll" that I was thumbing through. It looked cool, and is now an xxx-mas present

    • was miffed because they only had book 3 of Angel Sanctuary and I don't have any of the other books

    • also miffed at severe lack of Oh My Goddess! graphic novels.

    • wanted the Hello Kitty! 2005 calendar, but mom just kind of stared at me when I showed it to her. Then I got distracted by the trading spaces calendar

    • passed through the Starbucks on the way out of Chapters (all Chapters have Starbucks inside) and got a caramel macchiatto(?sp) Yum.

    • am now home and updating my LJ

    • definitely not going to that party tonight, the weather is ick and I'm not up for drinking
