nothing exciting

Didn't sleep well last night. Don't know what it was, though most likely Jer's LJ entry of freak-outage last night contributed to that.

So, today's 6/6/6... I'm not seeing any world ending or any of that crap. (Randomly, today would have been an awesome day to get married on... or be born on, or have any anniversary, but that's just me. :P)

Mom threatened she'd taking me shopping for clothing to wear to grad/as a grad present today. I guess it's a good idea, since I do love clothing. However, I hate clothing shopping most of the time because it does horrible things to my self-esteem. Because I'm not hideous, but I'm not thin either... so trying to find something in my size can be really hard and then I end up feeling like a fat cow when I'm technically not even plus-size.

Oh, I've also been watching the series "The History of Rock n Roll" which I bought on DVD when it was on sale at work. (like $40 for the 5 DVD set) It's absolutely awesome. The first 3 discs is just 50s/60s music and a lot of the bigger influence. I'm excited because the DVD with Bowie should be soon. ;)

surely god won't look the other way

Ok, I really want this. Jim Henson + Brian Froud = pure awesomenessticity. (Think Dark Crystal or Labarynth...)

Anyway. Spent most of today shopping with mom. Got a bunch of clothing as sort of a grad/birthday gift thing. Got a -really- nice, sexy little black dress to wear to grad. It didn't look like much on the rack, but once I put it on... yum. And it's a nice cotton, so that means machine washable. Double win for me! I think I'll probably wear my red shoe from high school grad with it (yes they still fit - and they're cute strappy red things) since we didn't find any other shoes today and I'll be working all day tomorrow.

Yes, I'll probably post grad pics after grad... and once I get home after the weekend. You'll all see my dress. Plus it'll be the first view of my shorter hair for most of you.

Have my director's training camp this weekend. That makes me a little nervous. Mostly because I'm not 100% sure I know what I'm doing and our camp director doesn't seem to be helping with that situation much at all. No one is. :\
