a voice says in the night "don't do it"
Feb. 11th, 2008 02:38 pmI have food again. That's kind of exciting!
And it's so nice outside today. I walked to and from the store and was way too hot in my jacket even after I'd taken my scarf off. And I was only wearing a tank top underneath. Apparantly it's only 12C but it feels so nice. All my windows are open right now to take advantage of the warm breeze.
One thing I love about shopping at the co-op near my place (aside from the cheapo co-op brand items, that is) is that they often have things on sale 2-for-1. Today those things included pizza and the veggie sausages that I sometimes buy. So now I'm stalked up on sausages for about a month and, well, pizza won't last long here. As soon as you mix dairy with any sort of bread product, I eat it. ;) Same goes for dairy and sugar.
Oh, and completely randomly, I ran into Kelly (who I worked with at the cafe) at the co-op! She said hi, and I was totally out of it so that I didn't recognize her at first. But we chatted a bit, and that was nice.
I will be looking for work again on February 25. Although I am more than capable of living on the poverty line for quite a while, I really do miss having money to actually spend on stuff. You know, disposable income? Something part-time (no more than 3 days a week) for March and April would be ideal. But... I still don't want to do it quite yet! lol I'd like to spend just a little longer writing and drawing and taking things at a slow pace. I'm remembering how to have fun and be happy with myself again, which I feel is a lot more important to me than being able to buy this or that.
