looking for media program

So. Looking for a recommendation for a DVD player for my computer. VLC has been giving me a lot of issues lately, so I tried to update it and now it won't play my other region dvds. Dvds that I've watched before. Trying to reload older versions gives me all sorts of weird errors.

I need a new program! Needs to be region free or multi-region and free. Recommendations?
