gnutmeg: (damn)

*beats on my computer, trying to get it to work properly* I don't know what it's issue is. There's not viruses (I checked twice) or spyware (again, ran the check twice) and my internet keeps flaking out on me!! Like, I have to reload pages 2 to 8 times to get them to load, as my internet will randomly pop up messages telling me it can't find things even though they've partially loaded. It's extremely frustrating. >.< Especially since I need the damned internet for school and stuff.

It's also crashed thrice today. Thrice. As in more than once or twice.

Suggestions?

Maybe it's your browser?

Nope, tried with both Netscape and IExplorer. IExplorer is actually worse.

Have you tried deleting your temp files and the cookies?

Hmm ...

The only thing I can think of is run disk cleanup (under start/programs/accessories/system tools/disk cleanup

And if that fails ... do disk defragment. It'll probably take a long time and my ex was unfortunate enough for it to freeze while he was doing it which kind of ... completely fucked his computer over. So, do it at your own risk.

Other than that though ... no clue.

I think I might. [livejournal.com profile] lauraorganasolo suggested a defrag as well. Naturally, I'm planning to back up all the important stuff, first.

One day maybe they'll make a computer that works properly all the time and doesn't require so much screwing around >.
