John and his Solomon Grundy rhyme have reminded me of that birthdays thing.

Monday's child is fair of face.
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Wednesday's child is full of woe.
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is [I forgot]
Saturday's child [need to ask Lina... she knows it]
And the child born on the Sabbath day will be something, something, merry and gay.

Bah. Anyone who remembers the parts I don't, please help.

Friday's child is kind and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
and I think Sabbath day is bonny, blithe and gay but I might be wrong.

I think that's it, but with a 'merry' thrown in. Damn Sunday kids get all the luck.

And yet, for the life of me I can't recite that black sheep rhyme. I suck.

Also fun: it is sung to the same tune as the Alphabet Song which is the same tune as Twinkle Twinkle.

Said tune was written by Mozart at age 9.
