I know I just posted, but Becca utterly amuses me:

Becca: yes, the rum is very important
nutmeg: where would we be without it? Probably all still in Europe, that's where!
Becca: you know, you may be right. What reason would we have to emigrate to the Americas?
nutmeg: chocolate?
Becca: yes, that is true. The spanish used it as currency, you know. So did the mayans. The english and french used to dump the 'worthless' cacao beans off captured ships.

Becca: yes. the mayans ... human sacrifice vs chocolate as currency ... and i am forced to conclude that they weren't a bad bunch
