My cake, it appears to have fallen. Yet it is not cooked through, yet. I blame my damn oven. It's too sketchalicious for me to have tried this. I just don't think it's hot enough for this sort of thing. Everything takes twice as long as it should. Ah well, it should still taste good. I think.

I'm trying this recipe, which looked delightful.

I've been. I don't know. I've decided to start getting more active with certain things that I've been a silent support of for years. Environmental issues. Human Rights issues. Now, I'm not running off to join greenpeace or anything like that. But I am going to be more vocal about it. Consider this fair warning.

Now I'm going to go feed myself, since I'm actually hungry for a change.

Sar? No comments on the music. None. Or I'll let Nolfin flay you.

I'd rather not. I don't agree with a number of their tactics.

Hmmm...how about world wildlife fund? I sent them money a couple of years ago and they continue to send me stuff in the mail every year. Who doesn't like calendars and mailing labels?

But you're right - Greenpeace is a little scary at times. I find their website is good for information but it's like they haven't cottoned on to the fact that big scary companies are not easily scared by weird scare tactics and that the general public only sees their super flaky side and not the serious side.

*sigh*

At any rate, bring on the vocal!

Local (Ottawa) enviro-friendly store: http://www.arbourshop.com/ - randomly, the owner was one of my teachers in college. But she does provide a numbre of really good links on the website.

The thing that's been eating at me recently? (Ever since seeing a certain display at a museum in Bristol...) There are currently more slaves in the world than there have ever been before ever in history. More than half of them are children. [livejournal.com profile] clapham_circle is a great place for information/news on that.
