I had my interview at camp this morning. I'm going back as Quartermaster. I'm more than pleased to do this as I support their choice in director and was pleasantly pleased when I found out! Though... I don't know if I am allowed to talk about it yet. It's someone who used to be at Woolsey, though, and someone I do love dearly. I don't know that I'd have chosen her ahead of myself, but she is someone I would trust our camp in the hands of.

No, they'd already picked someone and just weren't saying anything... but I was warmly invited back as quartermaster. It was less of an interview and more of a "get to know you" chat. Apparantly, I was requested to stay in the position by the lady they hired - and I have no qualms, she's a good friend.

They didn't tell me anything more than that Delph was director and that I would be QM - and she sounded pretty sure about putting V&B on tripping.


I don't think she's terribly organized, tbh. She's supposedly calling back returning staff this weekend, so if you don't get a call try contacting her.

the thing is, that today in the mail, they sent me an application, and a letter suggesting that I apply. But it was dated the 1st (why it took a month to get to my place is beyond me, as I live in the same god damn city).

I have no problems with Delph being the director, I like her and I think she'd do an adequate job. Like you I don't think I would have picked her over you.

I have very mixed feelings on it at the moment, I think at this point I'm going to have to have a really good feeling coming out of an interview for me to accept it.

I got an application in the mail too. My mom called me, thinking it might be an acceptance letter of some sort. I just laughed. I laughed more when it was that annoying form letter, since I also applied a couple weeks back.

I don't know who this director person is, but you guys definitely have me curious!

The letter, to me, is just another waste from Province. It's far too late to make a great deal of difference, as pretty much every camp has done their hiring already, They should have sent out this letter in January.

But that's just my opinion.

Province is REALLY late on all this stuff. Apparantly one person is doing all the hiring for all the camps. RIDICULOUS.
