As I often am, I'm left wondering what these people do when I'm not here to do everything for them.

Other than that... I'm still feeling absolutely exhausted. It's not fun. And no amount of sleep seems to be curing it. This is really annoying, as it's getting in the way of job hunting. And any other things I want to do.

What kind of job are you looking for - and where in the city?
I just went through my own house/apt-searching and there are a few sites (http://gally99.livejournal.com/428466.html) that did a lot of walking for me before I went out to actually look at places.

Yeah, I've got lots of good leads on flats, it's actually the job that's the bigger issue. I'm trained in retail management, but I'll go with anyone who'll hire me. I'd rather not do just like floor-retail, which I suspect is where a lot of places would start me. It's annoying. But I don't have anything really specific in mind. I could be in TO or Ottawa. Hell, anywhere, really.

If you wanted to get back in retail, yes. I don't know the industry that well, but Chapters has tempted me from time to time. Retail experience a definite asset if you want to move up corporately. And there seem to be a few manager openings online.

Other than that, I'm sure you've already checked workopolis for stuff, but have you tried the government websites? Like Ontario (http://www.gojobs.gov.on.ca), or even the federal PWS? If you're thinking of a particular municipality, you can check with them as well.

Otherwise, pick an industry and just get your foot in the door. There are a lot of call centers (some not as good as others for advacement outside of the call center) and head offices in Toronto. Lots of banks - you could start off as a teller?
