So. nutmeg needs a little help. The job I was look at in India, seems to be a 3-year position, not 1 like I originally thought. I'm not sure I can handle that. So I need a little advice...

I've been looking at a bunch of overseas volunteer organizations, and there's one thing I keep hearing that also applies to this situation.

The organization that does the 3 year opportunities insists that you have some previous international volunteer experience. Because three years? Three years is a loooong time. And that long in a foreign country can either be the most awesome experience of your life... or the hardest and most stressful.

If you feel, even for a second, that three years might not work out like you want it to- listen! Weigh all the options and make an informed decision, this isn't something to do on a whim. <3

((Oh maaan, can you tell I've heard these exact same things before?))

Well, I know I could do one year (been there, done that!) maybe pushing two, but three seems like an awful long time. Even if I would be making $44,000/yr CAD with not a lot of chances to spend it.
