sunshine pumpkin kitten
is that what I am?
you hardly know my flavour
I am a bitter spice
sweetened by some other sugar

adorable and angry
that could be my epitaph
but not if you wrote it
you only see that sweet sparkle
which isn't me at all

aromatic and strong
but numbing to the senses
if you taste too much
and even poisonous
so why do you still want me?

if you plant me in your garden
I will not nurture you
my shadows will destroy you
all this for a simple taste
that you only imagined in me
