mmmn lazy sunday

My mom called today. Apparently she tried to call yesterday, but obviously didn't get me as I was at work. I was discovering my workplace's rather fun tradition of hanging out for a while after close on Saturday to drink (owner's treat!) which is kind of neat. I don't really drink, but I did stay to chat. I stayed a bit too late, though, and ended up missing the last bus to my area of the city so I kind of had to walk... at least it's not too far!

Also, I've got 5 shifts scheduled for next week! That's quite a bit, and will definitely help my money situation. I hope it'll cut down to only 3 or 4 a week in future, though. I mean, I didn't come here to spend my whole time working! Though it does look like getting some time off to travel or whatever won't be too hard.


Anyway, back to talking to my mom: she was telling me that my dad and sister are going skiing today even though it's very snowy/almost blizzardy out. Typical. And I should be getting my christmas money soon, so that'll be nice. Now to start planning where I want to travel first!
